Re-plastering after Otley floods

After the foods caused mayhem in Otley, we were employed to re-plasterer one of the damaged properties. For this project we had to remove the affected areas before allowing the walls to dry out. Once they were dry we floated the bare brick areas fitted new plasterboards where needed and did a re-skim to the rooms.

Here are our pictures of the project.

Bedroom plastering in North Leeds

It’s always good to get called back by customers to carry out more work for them. We have previously plastered the box room for this client and now we returned to plaster one of the main bedrooms. The ceiling was over boarded and skimmed. The walls needed patching up, a bonding adhesive applying and then skimming.

Thanks to Dave Tiffany at DMT Decorating for preparing the walls for us by removing the very stubborn paper.

Here’s a selection of photos of our finished work.

Insurance Work after the Christmas floods

We were called out to help a customer in Kirkstall who had the misfortune of being affected by the flooding that happened over the Christmas period. It left their premises soaked and in need of some serious re-plastering. For this project we were employed to remove all of the plaster before allowing it to fully dry out before the reinstating of thermal insulation plasterboards and skimming the rooms out. The plastering is now complete and the joiner has followed us in to fit new skirtings, architraves and doors. The customer is starting to rebuild their business and hopefully they won’t have to face this devastation again.

Here are a collection of photos taken throughout the project
